Today's activity is beveling the top inside edge of the hull and the bottom inside edge of the deck so that they will fit without a gap when the deck and hull are joined.  The task is to bevel a 45 degree angle on both parts along the full length of each part.  After some experimenting with various hand tools, I found that a small vibrating sander with a fine grit paper did the job quickly and well.
