On a beautiful Florida November day I paddled up the south fork of the St. Sebastian River from Dale Wimbrow Park. I guess the day was Florida's version of a northern Indian Summer Day. The air was still. High clouds in a mostly clear sky. Everything along the river reflected back from the mirror like water. The
scene was tranquil to say the least. I interrupted my sojourn with a stop at a public dock and launch site I had paddled past many times. To my surprise, I found a hidden wilderness campsite near the ancient ruins of an old hotel. This video depicts the river on that day and my discovery.
