Two Excellent Boats For Sale!

I find myself with too many boats.  I know, for those of us who love boats, "too many" is an oxymoron.  Never-the-less, I live in a Florida community that doesn't allow outside storage of boats and the like.  I have room for three boats on my Talic Kayak Condo and four boats to store, so at least one of them has to go.  I need to make enough room in my two car garage for two cars and my kayak trailer, should a hurricane approach.  So, I'm putting two boats on the market , hoping to sell at least one of them.  Here they are.

Necky Elaho Composite Kayak

Elaho at the Route 510 canoe launch on the St. Sebastian River

I bought this boat from a local outfitter.  It had been his personal boat.  Structurally, the boat was in great shape.  But it had some ugly looking cosmetic scratches caused when the tethered boat slipped under a powerboat's swim platform where several bolts decorated the deck with what proved to be superficial scratches.  I needed a winter project and besides, I thought a friend might be interested in the boat (he wasn't), so I bought it.  I was able to wet sand the scratches out (most of them). So, with a coat of wax and a rebuilt rudder system, the boat looked almost new.  It's a really pretty boat.  I paddled a plastic version of the Elaho on two week long trips with an outfitter.  The boat paddled easily, even without using the rudder and held a ton of gear.

Pygmy Pinguino 145 with 4PD*

Yes, this is the little baby I built two years ago.  It is a beautiful little boat, pretty to look at, light weight, stable and easy to paddle.  The 4 PD in its name indicates that it has a beautifully rounded four panel deck fore and aft.  It is hard to think of parting with it, but the truth is that I seldom paddle Pinguino because I am more into extended trips than I am into day paddles and overnights.  It is perfect for these things.
